We are one of the fastest-growing podcast and audiobook platforms in Europe and we are now looking for an ambitious Analytics Engineer to join our growing Data team. Come and join us on our journey to enrich lives through listening.
This is the role
In this position, you will become part of our small, yet ambitious BI & Analytics Engineering team, which is part of our global Data department. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining our company-wide data platform and works to enable data-driven decision-making across the entire organization.
You will be at the heart of the collaboration between data analysts, scientists, engineers, and business teams, and will be responsible for bringing efficient and robust data models, BI interfaces, and self-service solutions to life.
The team offers a casual atmosphere with great opportunities to grow and make an impact, and you will in this position get the chance to play a leading role in shaping and driving our data modeling efforts.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Work closely with business teams, data analysts, and scientists to understand their needs and translate those into effective data solutions
- Utilize dbt, SQL, BigQuery, and Looker/LookML to transform and model both new and existing data sources
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-service tools that enable business stakeholders to gain insights and make data-driven decisions
- Provide data modeling expertise to additional team and department members through code reviews and pairing to help deliver optimal and scalable designs and queries
- Promote the adoption of data solutions and interfaces by educating business users and data developers on their usage

We are looking for a colleague, who gets a kick from and takes pride in building awesome data products, and who can help us advance our analytics engineering capabilities.
You understand the concepts of working in an international startup environment and you thrive in collaborating cross-functional with your colleagues across the company.
In more detail, you will thrive in this role if you have:
- Some years of experience in working with data (BI/Analytics/Data Engineering)
- Experience with data modeling and knowledge of data warehousing principles
- A love for teamwork, continuous improvement, and learning
- Experience with dbt, SQL, BigQuery, and visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g. Looker)
- Good communication skills in English (written and verbal)
Naturally, being passionate and knowledgeable about podcasts, audio content, media, and entertainment is a big plus!
