This is the role
As an FP&A Analyst at Podimo, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the steering of the company towards its financial goals. You'll be responsible for providing insights that support decision-making, forecasting future financial outcomes, and developing strategies to ensure the financial health and growth of the company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and is passionate about the impact of audio storytelling.
Your main responsibilities in this role:
Support the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Podimo’s strategic objectives.
Analyze current and past financial data and performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements accordingly.
Collaborate with the team on monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for senior management and our board - highlighting key financial and operational metrics.
Work closely with department heads of our Studio business unit to develop and monitor budgets, providing financial insights and guidance.
Conduct variance analysis, pinpointing discrepancies between actuals and forecasts, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes to improve efficiency and scalability
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Experience we’re looking for:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the digital media, content production, or with a consultant background.
Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with a proven track record of influencing business decisions through financial insights.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting, with a deep understanding of financial statements and performance indicators.
Have strong communication skills, being able to explain a complex situation in a concise and simple manner and enjoy cooperating with people at all levels of the organisation.
Experience working in a start-up environment and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of autonomy.
Experience translating complex questions into solid and clean models in Excel / G-Sheets, as well as generating broader audience conclusions in a clean looking, well thought out slide pack.
Naturally, being passionate and knowledgeable about podcasts, audio content, media, and entertainment is a big plus!
