This is the role

We’re looking for a thoughtful, detail-driven Business Affairs Manager to join our team in Amsterdam and play a pivotal role in supporting Podimo’s global content strategy. In this role, you’ll empower our Content & Studios teams by negotiating fair, transparent agreements with creators, talent, management, and production partners, ensuring that rights are crystal clear and our projects run smoothly from idea to release.

As part of the Dutch content team, you’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across Podimo Netherlands, Tonny Media, and Dag & Nacht, as well as global stakeholders, to balance creative ambition with watertight agreements. Your work will help us bring outstanding podcasts and audiobooks to life for listeners worldwide.

This role is perfect for someone who loves navigating complexity, spotting gaps before they become problems, and finding solutions that work for all parties. You see the details, but you never lose sight of the bigger picture.

The role is based in our Amsterdam office, with occasional travel to our HQ in Copenhagen.

What you'll do:

• Structure, draft, and negotiate development, rights acquisition, and talent agreements with creators, talent managers, and production partners across Podimo Netherlands, Tonny Media, and Dag & Nacht.
  

• Proactively identify and mitigate legal and business risks across content operations, production activities, and partnerships.
  

• Provide strategic guidance on deal terms, rights, and industry standards to support informed decision-making.
  

• Lead and manage multiple parallel negotiations and high-priority projects while maintaining clear priorities and timelines.
  

• Work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Content, and Creative teams to ensure alignment and smooth collaboration.
  

• Monitor compliance with internal policies, guidelines, and contractual obligations.

This is you

• 5+ years of experience in business affairs, entertainment law, rights management, or a related field within media, audio, entertainment, or production environments.
  

• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, with a solid understanding of rights acquisition, talent agreements, and industry-standard deal structures.
  

• Confidence navigating complex rights landscapes, including IP, licensing, talent rights, and production agreements.
  

• A solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to identify risks early, propose practical alternatives, and keep projects moving efficiently.
  

• Solid stakeholder management skills and exceptional attention to detail, paired with the ability to maintain perspective on broader business goals.
  

• Clear judgment and discretion, especially when dealing with sensitive information or high-value relationships.
  

• Comfort balancing multiple negotiations and deadlines, keeping priorities organised and stakeholders aligned.
  

• Strong communication skills in Dutch (fluent) and English, both written and verbal. 

Naturally, being passionate and knowledgeable about podcasts, audio content, media, and entertainment is a big plus!
