We are one of the fastest-growing podcast and audiobook platforms in Europe and we are now looking for an ambitious and highly analytical M&A Associate to join our Corporate Development team and drive the acquisitions that fuel our rapid growth.

This is the role
Strategic Planning & Sourcing:
Work closely together with the Head of Corporate Development, providing support on the execution of strategic M&As and related corporate development priorities.
Proactively research and source potential acquisition targets, build a robust pipeline, and develop relationships with key stakeholders in the market.
Transaction Execution:
Provide support on the M&A process, including financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and negotiation of transaction terms.
Prepare and present detailed business cases, financial analyses, and recommendations to senior management.
Manage external advisors, including investment bankers, lawyers, and accounting firms.
Financial Analysis & Valuation:
Develop complex financial models to evaluate potential transactions, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
Analyze strategic alternatives, including ‘buy vs. build’, partnerships and related options.
Conduct detailed synergy analysis and assess the financial impact of potential deals.
Market & Competitive Intelligence:
Stay abreast of market trends, competitive landscape, and industry-specific M&A activity.
Maintain a deep understanding of our industry and the key players within it.
Post-Merger Integration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute post-merger integration plans to ensure a smooth transition and realise the full value of the acquisition.
Monitor the performance of acquired businesses against initial deal theses and financial projections.
The role reports directly to our Head of Corporate Development, based at our headquarters in Copenhagen. The position is based in Copenhagen, with some travel expected.
This is you
Experience we’re looking for:
Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
2-5 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity or a related field.
Proven experience in M&A transactions.
Exceptional financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.
High level of integrity, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Naturally, being passionate and knowledgeable about podcasts, audio content, media, and entertainment is a big plus!
